bathed in scarlet from the setting sun
Who: Yuuri and you!
What: Yuuri does something that bears a passing resemblence to settling in at the Keystone Station. In practical terms, this translates to sticking her nose into just about everything and doing a metric fuckton of stresscooking.
When: The week or so following the IC intro log.
Where: One prompt in the kitchen closest to Room #43 and one in the annex! As well as a general wildcard.
Warnings: Nothing currently worth warning for! Some passing references to murdergame unpleasentness might come up in the comments, though.
[ It's been a few days since the group of new arrivals landed back at the station and apart from the little pizza party set up for them, Yuuri hasn't really been up to mingling. She's not been shut up in her room, but she's been keeping to herself and the people she knows, for the most part. It's safer that way.
Restlessness is a funny little thing, though, and when you've started getting used to a life beyond staring at four walls again, it creeps up on you faster than you'd like. So as anxious and wound up as she is about this whole... everything, Yuuri figures that there probably isn't any harm in starting to familiarize herself with their new surroundings.
She mostly sticks to the main building, like she doesn't want to stray too far from the people she'd arrived with. While she's out and about, you'll mostly find her on the viewing deck and the roof – nice, outdoorsy places. If you want to catch her for anything, you might as well do it now. ]
annex
[ Yuuri's already looked around the annex briefly on her first night here, but she'd been a bit too frazzled to really take any of it in. Now, though, she's more prepared to explore.
She starts off poking around in the changing rooms, with a slightly hopeful look on her face. This whole setup looks very much like a public bath and her hopes are raised even higher when she opens the door and sees what looks like a huge bath. But then she gives the rules a proper look, sees the words hot tub and scrunches up her nose. Boo, disappointment.
Thankfully, the greenhouse is much less of a disappointment. She gives the place a long, slow circuit, and without even realizing it, she's already started to smile. After having a whole garden to tend to, the downsize in Tokyo had been a little hard to get used to. But a whole greenhouse? She's right at home.
If you're the planty sort as well, you'll probably find Yuuri here at some point or other, tending to the flowers and the plants with the easy, practiced hand of an experienced gardener. It's the most relaxed she's looked since arriving. ]
kitchen
[ Because of course Yuuri would end up in the kitchen. Of course.
It's not a one-off occasion, either. There's kitchenettes in each of the apartments, of course. But those seem to be a little too small for Yuuri's purposes. Mostly at mealtimes but occasionally at odd hours, too, you'll find her in the kitchen, busily cooking enough food to feed an army. Most of it is Japanese food, but some of it's decidedly not. And sometimes it's not even food at all, but baked goods.
But it all looks and smells very good so you might as well come and investigate, right? ]

None of these others are there. The IGS Fantasy Sweet is charred space rubble. But Yuuri is there, and Mai walks over to her and gives a small bow.]

Plants.
Did you come to see what they're growing in here?

[Both because it seems to be the name of the game and.. well.]
It's strange. It reminds me more of the simulation for the dead. Anarchy. Neighbours. ...Clueless but sympathetic. But our Overseers seemed the same. So I don't know.

Duscaean oranges and Leiden potatoes are exactly what they sound like, of course. I think the problem with recreating most of this accurately lies in the focus rather than the smaller details. You apparently can't just find a behemoth or karlabos around anywhere in most worlds, never mind killing them.
[He narrowed his eyes at the page he was on, frowning with a look that was certainly disbelief.]
What even possesses someone to consider kujata marrow in the first place?

[ good heavens, an excuse to keep cooking! WHATEVER WILL SHE DO. ]
... do I want to ask, though? I get the feeling I don't.

Apologies for the interruption.
[He's not going to hesitate in the doorway, but he is careful as he walks in. Ignis has been goaded into upgrading to a long cane - not white, as is standard, but black with just a white tip because apparently the androids are familiar with the Lucian aesthetic - but hitting Izunia taught him the need to be cautious. He's not exactly keen on shinning everyone he meets, after all.]

[ She doesn't know Ignis well enough that having him address her as a stranger isn't quite so odd as some of the others. But something about it is unpleasant – a vague sense of imbalance that comes from her knowing and Ignis not knowing. But there's nothing she can do about that. ]
I'll be done in a little bit, so I'll be out of the way soon enough.

Feed Him
Ignis?
[He peeks into the kitchen and then blinks when he sees it's not Ignis at all, but a girl. One of the new people, he thinks.]
Oh. Sorry. I thought--well, never mind. I'll just heat something up from the fridge.
consider him fed
I'm afraid not! But if you'd like some, I can fill a bowl for you once it's done.
[ This is mostly just cooking for the sake of cooking at this point, so it's not like anyone's going to miss a portion when it all goes into the fridge for leftovers later. ]

Not that Sonja's got any problem with sharing kitchen space with her neighbors, but the fact that it already smells divine in here is certainly a selling point. She grins at Yuuri as she comes in, and though she starts poking through one of the cupboards, she makes no effort to hide that she's looking to see what the girl is preparing.]
What are you working on? It smells amazing.

It's just some beef stew. I heard we don't have a lot of cooks who are up to making their own meals, so I thought I'd make a few things they can reheat a little more easily.

kitchens, super late in the week
Which means it's probably a good bit of a surprise to her when he wanders in around dinnertime, wearing black skinny jeans and some kind of long designer teeshirt to make use of this one. Though he seems to be generally working around her and giving her plenty of space to do whatever she's doing, at least.
As to what he's making? Well, it involves deploying a large hunk of deer meat from his Armiger, so who knows. Maybe some kind of roast.]

That doesn't stop her side-eyeing him a little once he comes in, of course. She might've made some noise about this being everyone's kitchen when Ignis posed the question but that doesn't mean she's any happier to see Izunia here. ]
... I've never seen you in here before.
