DUNGEON LOG: KEYSTONE SHORE

The morning of the 9th, everyone will get a message sent to their communication devices -

Okay, guys! I think we have enough stabilizers to try and get the shoreline stable. If you want to help out, grab your supplies and come on up to the roof!

When characters arrive at the roof, they'll find Top - with a wheeling table full of many copies of the same odd-looking device - the two exploratory drones, and a ramp down off the roof to the ground. (The latter looks a little hastily constructed.)

"Okay," Top says, picking up one of the devices. "Here's the stabilizers. Stick them to walls and stuff - mostly out of the way places where they're not going to get knocked off - and then press the buttons along the side."

They demonstrate, unfolding the set of legs at one end of the device before showing the buttons to anyone who's close enough. "Go ahead and take a couple, especially if you've got one of those space-saving inventories going on, I know there's like four of you with those? Strange got some first aid kits together, too, if you want."

Sure enough, another table nearby has the med kits... As well as traditional paper bag lunches, courtesy of Bottom. Don't question it too much.

"We'll be staying back here to keep track of the stabilization progress and work the drones," Top says, "but don't hesitate to call if you get in trouble! We'll send one of these guys down to get you an evac if you need it."

And with that, you're free to go down the ramp... Or to make for the beach however else you might choose to go.

[Hey sup it's Izunia, with a blanket wrapped over his shoulders against the chill breeze. He comes over to Goro's setup and unceremoniously drops himself onto the spread blanket with the food.

What's a king to a nighttime picnic?]

I've some hot soup still, if you'd like to trade.

I would appreciate it, it is a little cold out here...and hot chocolate only does so much.

Would you like a warm drink, though?

You needn't trouble yourself, I've still got a few.

[He does also! Have a bowl of soup for you. And crackers. The crackers are extremely important.]

It looks like the supplies have been holding up well enough between us.

[He'll just go with what Izunia suggests, since he's only passingly familiar with Western style foods.]

I did take time to thoroughly stock up before I left. Akira and I both have rather large appetites, so I decided to err on the side of bringing more than I would need.

[By 'large appetite' he may, in fact, mean 'is never really full'...you'd think he's been starved, with how much he eats at mealtimes.]

[Fortunate that soup is reasonably universal? This one's some kind of thick vegetable broth with chunks of veggies in.]

I did the same, though more with the thought in mind that some people I know aren't known for thinking ahead very well.

At least I don't usually have to worry about that with Akira. His moments of poor planning are more reactionary than this.

[Guess who's never living down the time he broke his finger because he decided punching a wall with all his strength was a good way to vent his anger?

But teasing his boyfriend aside, mmm vegetables. He didn't really bring a lot of veggies, since you have to cook most of those to be palatable.]

I'm more concerned about his dietary choices than his stock of supplies.

[Things that set Izunia apart from his brother: One of them actually eats veggies without complaint, and even enjoys them.]

Oh, I do know that feeling. There's always that one person in the group completely hopeless in that regard.
