You and me, we are two stars from different galaxies

Who: Prompto Argentum [personal profile] photoshooter; OPEN
What: Come meet the chocobaby, help Prompto research daemon malaria, return to Amesta Forest for a hunting trip, and/or experience hand-cooled soft drinks as Prompto practices his newfound magical skills.
When: IC dates April 22nd to May 1st
Where: Around Keystone Station and the fringes of Amesta Forest.
Warnings: Potential discussion of magical blood-borne diseases in the second prompt.

Any day, anywhere in Keystone Station: Sunshine, baby!

[The forest trip wrecked Prompto's sleep schedule, but it seems after a few days' rest, he's finally back to being more or less diurnal. He's even up to visiting some of his usual haunts, particularly the chicken room and tech lab.

But most importantly, wherever he goes, he's accompanied by a sweet little ball of sunshine. She's riding in style, complete with snacks and padded seats, and peers out from under her starry orange canopy with unruffled interest--unless someone approaches, in which case she starts fluttering and kwehing in her cheepy baby voice.]

Oh, hey. [Prompto smiles and waves.] You wanna say hello? She's friendly.

April 26th-27th, morning, Annex roof

[It's early, and the steady drumming of rain on the glass roof is enough to make anybody drowsy. Maybe that's why Prompto can be found snoozing in one of the lounge chairs with a pillow (and Sunshine, of course, asleep in her wagon). He's in his glasses and an enormous white T-shirt over his usual pants, so it may be he woke up sometime in the night and came to get some reading done. There's a book open across his chest, after all.

Except... it's a medical textbook? And Prompto's written some notes on his hand. They're hard to read, but one of the keywords seems to be plasmodia.

So that's probably awesome.]

April 28th, day, fringes of Amesta Forest

[Maybe Chocodaddy has custody of Sunshine today, because Prompto's making good on his promise to bring meat in. Don't eat his clucky babies.

Stabilized or not, he's making sure to stick solidly to the fringes of the forest and keep moving. He's even got a real hunting rifle for the occasion.]

April 30th - May 1st, afternoon, Bloodsands Beach

It's hot...

[Wow, what a whiner. Then again, Prompto's keeping well back from the water, instead focusing on Sunshine playing in the sand with a parent's watchfulness. Because he's staying with her wagon, of course, he's on belongings-minding duty, too. He holds a bottle of water against his neck, sighing as it warms in the sun--and then a thought occurs to him.

He looks at the bottle in his hand, concentrates, and then... crickle crack. A layer of frost laces across the plastic, cold seeping inside before fading in the sun's warmth again. After a moment, Prompto tests that against his skin and squeaks.]

Cold!

[But after a couple seconds, he presses it to his cheek, shivering happily.]

No bother at all. I'm not using it, I mostly take notes on my tablet when I'm doing research anyway.

[Speaking of...]

If you'd like someone to go through it with you, I have to admit I'd be interested.

Ah.

[Ok yes this isn't a "standing over him" kind of conversation. Jetshard moves to one of the nearby chairs and sits, perching at the edge of the seat.]

Izunia told me a little. I didn't think it would be kind to press for more than he volunteered.

If you'd be comfortable telling me what you understand of it, I'd be interested to hear.

Maybe not, but I can't think that I've ever run across a disease where knowing more about it was a bad thing.

At what stages is it contagious? Does it infect anything other than humans?
