Catchalls are so hot right now
Who: Bai Lin and EVERYONE
What: Jogging, fighting, and FAST CARS
When: Will be listed in various prompts
Where: Around Keystone and the streets of Incendia
Warnings: Maybe a little bit of light violence?
-1: Every goddamn morning at like 6:30-
Lin is that most unholy type of creature: a morning person. If, for some reason, you're up at 6:30ish on any day of the week, you're likely to find Bai Lin jogging in loops around the various buildings that form Keystone Station, like some kind of goddamn health nut. She even looks like she's enjoying herself! Disgusting!
Or, also disgustingly early, she can sometimes be found in the woefully under equipped gym, pumping iron. Just because she's not fighting for her life every day anymore doesn't mean she can afford to get soft!
-2: Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday-
Fight Club, as it was unofficially called, occurred regularly on a field right by Keystone Station. At 10am, Lin taught anyone who wanted to be better able to defend themselves unarmed. She's a conservative teacher, though. Almost half of every lesson is devoted meditation and breathing exercises. She doesn't take any slack, though. Anyone who doesn't seem like they're taking her lessons seriously will get politely but firmly chastised, or even asked to leave for repeat offenders.
After a break for lunch, the more casual half of the club convenes in the same place for free sparring. If that's your cup of tea.
-3: The fast and bicurious (July 15)-
In a city full of clean magic powered cars, the roar of a gasoline engine is a bit unusual. And yet, that is what you hear today if you're out in Incendia today for exploring or a bit of light looting. You hear it first. Then a dirty black car drifts around the corner on squealing tires and at unsafe speeds before rocketing down the street past you.
A moment later, the car backs up to where you were and the window rolls down, revealing Lin at the wheel.
"I have NO idea what this is doing here but wanna go for a joyride?"

[But the second Lin says go, her foot hits the accelerator so hard it goes flat on the floor of the car, and she's barreling down the remains of the road with evident glee. Better hope you can keep up, Lin.]

[As Bai Lin gets closer, Jail looks out through the window and locks gazes with her, just long enough to wink.]

The distraction gave Jailbreak about a car's length of lead, though. Lin resolved to focus on the race properly.]

[Either way, she takes advantage of the lead, swerving in front of Bai Lin to tauntingly block her way as she tries to progress.]
(Also I meant Lodestone Station up there. There's no way they're driving cross country to Keystone)
[Lin shouts futilely in her car and keeps on swerving back and forth, trying to slip around her. Eventually, she took her shot, which involved actually going up on the sidewalk for a relatively clear block and counting on Jailbreak not ACTUALLY trying to ram her into a building or a lamp post.]
Makes sense.
[Jail does have enough basic decency not to try to actually make Bai Lin crash in a friendly race, although she does take advantage by moving into the lane that's right next to the sidewalk Bai Lin is driving on, boxing her into the space between Jail's car and the buildings and forcing her to either stay on the sidewalk until she inevitably encountered an obstacle or try to back up and drive around her.]

[The goal is almost within sight.]

It was pretty close, but Jail's initial lead meant that she had more time to accelerate. Lin was still a few feet behind when they reached the station.]

Hah, still got it!

She's not really furious. Just...give her a second.]

Hey, good race. Been a while since I had a challenge like that.

ALMOST caught up in that home stretch.
no subject
Yep. But "almost" isn't gonna get you a win from me. Better luck next time.

Gas is kinda hard to find around here though so...probably not TOO many next times.

[She suspects Bai Lin won't be to keen on her reworking the car, but maybe she can find a way to make more gasoline.]
