DUNGEON LOG: KEYSTONE SHORE

The morning of the 9th, everyone will get a message sent to their communication devices -

Okay, guys! I think we have enough stabilizers to try and get the shoreline stable. If you want to help out, grab your supplies and come on up to the roof!

When characters arrive at the roof, they'll find Top - with a wheeling table full of many copies of the same odd-looking device - the two exploratory drones, and a ramp down off the roof to the ground. (The latter looks a little hastily constructed.)

"Okay," Top says, picking up one of the devices. "Here's the stabilizers. Stick them to walls and stuff - mostly out of the way places where they're not going to get knocked off - and then press the buttons along the side."

They demonstrate, unfolding the set of legs at one end of the device before showing the buttons to anyone who's close enough. "Go ahead and take a couple, especially if you've got one of those space-saving inventories going on, I know there's like four of you with those? Strange got some first aid kits together, too, if you want."

Sure enough, another table nearby has the med kits... As well as traditional paper bag lunches, courtesy of Bottom. Don't question it too much.

"We'll be staying back here to keep track of the stabilization progress and work the drones," Top says, "but don't hesitate to call if you get in trouble! We'll send one of these guys down to get you an evac if you need it."

And with that, you're free to go down the ramp... Or to make for the beach however else you might choose to go.

This was still less ridiculous than the shark... A huge, twenty-foot-tall seagull was a rather ridiculous opponent.

Pidonus considered her options - there were already several people attacking it, thankfully. So one idea was...

"What I wouldn't do for an alphorn about now," she observed... Starting in towards the bird and tensing to dodge and weave. Not the easiest thing against a nigh-invisible opponent... But she'd have to make do.

And then... She began to sing. Perhaps a time or two, others had heard her practice quietly in her room. But now, it was full-force, and there was a certain magic to it, empowered by the strange, dark language that it was sung in - Abyssal, the language of Demons, one of the finest in all the planes for singing on the loose topic of very efficiently killing and/or mutilating a giant, angry bird. The simple, accuracy-enhancing power of Inspire Courage - she'd have to hope people who were in range to hear and benefit from it could strike true enough to deal with the bird.

Meanwhile, both of her hands began to elongate - her nails sliding out of her gloves and hardening into claws. Not a reliable attack method - but they'd more than work for blocking incoming attacks. (Hopefully.)

It had been a long time since Alastor had heard a demonic language...this wasn't quite the one he was familiar with, but it had the same general feel. To say it made him homesick would be a gross exaggeration, nostalgic would be the better word. It brought to mind the distant past, before he was reduced to a mere Devil Arm. It brought to mind power.

"Nice trick, it's been a while since I heard magic singing."

He gave a thumbs up as he flew past Pidonus, his other hand holding a sword that appeared in a crackle of electricity. He might not have been able to see it directly, but it was a big target and he had its shadow as a guide...how hard could it be to hit it somewhere with an electrified sword?

Oh... It's feathers must be what makes it invisible!

Time to switch to singing in common: "TORCH THE FEATHERS SHOOT THE BUTT, KILL THE BIRD AND GET IT'S STUFF!"

... It wasn't a very good song, but it'd hopefully get the point across.
