Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba
Who: Shido & Open!
What: Lion.
When: 6/3 to 6/15 IC (6/22 to 7/4 OOC)
Where: Throughout the Station
Warnings: None this time!
[At some point, while you are traveling from point A to point B, you may see something unusual.
A fully grown lion that is just standing there and doesn't really seem to know how to lion. Or how to function, at all. It might look at you and blink for a moment before it looks away again, mostly down at the ground and its feet as if it is trying very hard to figure out how it's supposed to make locomotion.
Or maybe it's just given up on that and is lying on the ground, basically being a lump on a log. The most it moves, aside from breathing, may be the slight flick of a tail or just a slight head movement as it looks at you, and then away again. The only thing that really seems to be notable about the lion, aside from it being a lion, is that there is a scar on the underside of its torso where some of the mane is missing.
Either way, it doesn't seem very aggressive? Or particularly friendly. It kind of just is.]

13th, I guess
The fact that it doesn't seem aggressive might have calmed more rational fear, but to Goro's phobia, all it says is one thing: he has time to escape. And so, Shido will see his son's impressive foot speed as he tears off in the opposite direction.]
Video!
After about eighteen minutes, he finally reverts to his human form, and the first thing he does? Is message Goro.]

[He's coming back from the lab areas and there's just?? A fucking lion?? A full size lion just?? Standing there?? Church backs away slowly and disappears for a minute. Two minutes. Mmmmake it three. Looks like he went off to the kitchens?
Because he comes back with a hunk of raw steak.] Here kitty kitty...Church has a nice treat for you...don't eat anyone here... [PLONK. Steak gets thrown in the air and lands with a gross raw meat noise by Shido's furry feet.]
no subject
He watches as the steak is thrown at him and then lands at his feet.
... it smells surprisingly good? But he has more dignity than eating things off the floor.
So he looks back up at Church, then takes a couple awkward steps back and... sneezes.
Terrifying.]

[It's also about six thirty in the morning, which means that Jail's main concern is that this giant razor-clawed apex predator is between her and the coffee machine. She stares at it for a brief, contemplative moment before coming to her conclusion:]
Fuck it, it's too early for this shit.
[And Jail proceeds to calmly walk right past the lion without any further interest and begins making a pot of coffee.]
[As far as she's concerned, this could go one of two ways. Either the lion doesn't eat her, in which case it's probably harmless and she doesn't need to worry... or the lion eats her, in which case it's all somebody else's problem. So in her view it's a win-win situation.]
no subject
He takes a couple of steps... away from Jail, but then ends up overstepping and stumbles, smacking solidly into the cabinets. He doesn't really feel it, but his impressive weight means he makes a pretty loud thump against them.
The lion gives a rather forlorn grunt.]

Aiden's eyebrows lift as he blinks a couple of times, and then just. Walks right on up to it? ]
Morning.
[ He crouches down beside the animal - it's... kind of cute?? Also, since there's no other person around to judge him, he smiles at it! Him? Her? He isn't just going to look. ]
Tired?
no subject
This is the first time someone's just come up to him without any preamble. He also doesn't seem to be visibly alarmed or even afraid of him, which is great, but also makes him worry a bit more for this man's sense of self-preservation???
He even crouches down right next to him— the worry is Intensifying— so he just... ends up staring at Aiden with a puzzled expression.

It's possibly thanks, in large part, to the fact that he can shapeshift into a dog, that his mind initially goes to the chance that this could be a case of that? Maybe somebody else gained a new power...? ]

> BEFRIEND THE LION
Wait, backtrack. A lion? Here? Is that just, like, a thing? The lion seems about as disinterested as Minato was a few moments ago... Maybe it's sick?
Most would hesitate to approach an unfamiliar, unexplained lion. Minato is hardly 'most'. Approach the lion, casual as ever!]
You alright? [Should lions be that lethargic?]
no subject
Granted, he's deliberately trying to make himself seem non-threatening, but it is a little concerning when someone walks past him without much more than a glance. It's a little more concerning when he just... walks up to him?
When he talks to him as though he's expecting a response, the lion looks a bit confused after a moment, but then gives a couple of grunts and looks at him hopefully.]

Her cat, however, does. So that lion is treated to the unusual sight of a small house cat running in between his owner and the lion, taking on an aggressive stance and YOWLING as loud as a cat possibly can. Is it trying to scare off the lion?
The blind girl stops walking at this point, looking confused in the vague direction of her cat. ]

The movement is stiff and awkward, like he's not quite sure how he should be using his legs, but hey, he's... making forward progress, at least? Slowly? Very slowly and awkwardly.
But he's not moving towards Aya, instead walking in another direction. Slowly. Carefully. While looking at his own feet.

It was kinda like it didn't know what it was doing.
Futaba leveled the lion with a look, still wary of getting too close in case it actually lashed out. Mostly just kind of watching it for a little bit. ]
...I'm gonna just guess you're not a real lion. Those don't just appear out of nowhere so you gotta be someone who can shapeshift. Right?
