Who: Wren (
thoroff) and you!
What: Wren continues to be a responsible pegasus owner and settles into her new home in the annex.
When: April 23-April 30
Where: Keystone Annex and Keystone Shore
Warnings: None likely.
Stables / Shore — any day, morning
[The Fissure expedition, more specifically her inability to bring Catria along for it, put a serious dent in her exercise regime, so now that she's no longer exhausted to her core it's time to commit twice as hard. Every morning, as soon as she's properly awake, Wren heads down to the stables to take her black-winged steed out for a flight. She spends at least an hour each day swooping through the skies above the shoreline, and when she's not doing that, she's hovering closer to the earth, practicing her lance strikes or blasting parts of the landscape with lightning.
She would no doubt be thrilled to find a better training partner than thin air.]
Annex: Library — 23rd–30th, evening to early morning
[So guess who's pretty much moved into the library? This girl. She alternates between scouring the shelves for anything that catches her interest and burying her nose in and devouring the reading material at a vaguely alarming rate. While she gathers non-fiction books of all stripes, the most common themes are magic and wartime strategy. Most nights she doesn't even bother returning to her room, simply letting herself fall asleep in the lounge with a bunch of books scattered around her. This is totally fine, right?]
Annex: Roof — 27th, afternoon
[Having decided to actually relax for a moment today, Wren can be found soaking in the hot tub, wearing a bikini that quite honestly doesn't leave a ton to the imagination. The coat and boots (and inexplicable belts) have been left off to the side, though for whatever reason she's kept the gloves on.
The tub's not quite as nice as the hot springs she visited once, but there are also no voyeuristic merchants lurking about, so hey, you win some, you lose some. She certainly looks content enough all the same, leaning back with her eyes shut in a blissful expression that suggests she's pretty much lost to the world right now.]
Wildcard
[Need Wren for anything? Feel free to approach her any time you see her around the station, she'll be happy to listen, probably.]

Library
RobinWren enters the library, there's a girl already inside, a folded-up cane tucked under and arm. She's walking down an entire length of bookshelves, pulling out every. Single. Book. And running a hand over the cover. Then putting it back before moving onto the next. ] This is going to take. Forever.[ Meanwhile, on the nearest table to these shelves, a cat is curled up, eyes locked on Wren as she enters. You're being watched. ]

Do you need some help?

Maddie stiffens slightly in surprise when Wren addresses her. ] Ah-! I thought I was alone in here...
[ She slides the latest book back into the shelf and speaks without actually turning toward Wren in the slightest. ] I was looking for any books I can, you know, actually read.

I see. Had any luck?
1/2
Not that the libraries back home were much better, but you'd think a collection of books from everywhere would have at least something.

[ That's a joke. ]

Shore
Lin had been entirely focused on her own morning work out routine, part of which involved leaping in improbable, soaring arcs through the sky, easily reaching heights of thirty feet. The last thing she had expected to come face to face with at the height of one of her jumps was a horse. She somehow awkwardly twisted out of the way with a startled "CRAP!" before gravity reluctantly started effecting her again and pulling her downwards.
So that was awkward.

"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"
no subject
Yup. That looked like a horse alright. A horse with wings. And someone riding it looking down at her. Lin waved up at them, not sure what else to do right now. "I'm okay! Why is your horse flying?"
no subject
With a straight face she responded, "She's a pegasus. They do that."
no subject
"That's amazing! And she's so pretty!"
no subject
Wren grinned, pride audible in her voice.

Hot Tub
[Touma came to a dead stop at the edge of the hot tub. On the other side was a certain someone who he hasn't really talked to since he managed to convince them to allow him to do a certain stunt. A stunt that earned them both an earful from her brother. Relaxing in the tub dressed in a reveling bikini was Wren.
Fortunately, she hasn't noticed him. It was awkward enough to find himself alone here with a woman. It was even worse when said woman was Wren. If he was going to meet her again, he didn't want it to be while they were half naked. Touma deiced to make a tactical retreat. Misfortune, however, had different plans for him. As he turned to exit, he suddenly lost his footing on the slippy floor and fell right into the hot tub with a very noticeable splash.]

[The water's drag is all that keeps Wren from jumping a solid half dozen feet into the air when her relaxation is suddenly interrupted by a thunderous splash. After frantically swinging her head around to spot the source of the disturbance, she hastily wades over.
...
Ah, it's this kid. Why is she not surprised.]
...You okay?
[Her voice is slightly more flat than it might have been were she asking another person.]
shore
That's because they would be petting you, Morgana. Being an adorable cat does not equate to being a hot guy.Soooooo..... okay, maybe his decision to have a little adventure on the beach all by himself was a tiny bit motivated out of spite. But that didn't mean he wasn't having a good time! Exploring, digging in the sand, finding shells, romping around chasing some extremely offended seagulls..... he'll probably need to spend a while grooming the sand out from between his toes, but so far, it's actually been pretty fun.
It's only when a large winged shadow passes overhead that he discovers he's not as alone as he thought.]
Woah.....
[Morgana flops down in the sand and rolls onto his back to watch, admiring the graceful flight pattern. He doubts they can hear him all the way up there, but just in case they can.....]
Nice moves!

...Weird. She could swear somebody called out to her, but she doesn't see anyone on the beach...]

Wait, what is she thinking? It's not like a talking cat would be that strange, all things considered. Right? She still feels a little silly as, after descending far enough to not have to shout too loudly, she calls out to him.]
Hello?

Library
He lets himself plop unceremoniously into the seat next to Wren to help himself to one of the books that she's set to the side after finishing. Good grief, the last couple of days have been draining...]

no subject
[He's so tired, sis. This is mental draining on par with coming back from that last Fissure.]

[Sighs.]
And things were so peaceful before the forest...
no subject
[Maybe.]
That damned forest sure didn't help matters... [But then the people that showed up in it...]
