The Great Snow Fight of 2019

What: People pack snow into little balls and throw them at each other
When: January 30st and probably on and off for a couple of days after
Where: The grounds outside Keystone
Warnings: The weather outside is frightful

There's...not always a lot to do around Keystone Station. Sure there's books and video games and movies but for someone like Lin, who gets antsy when she's cooped up inside for too long, that only holds her attention for so long.

And then it started snowing.

There's only one thing to do about that.

It was quiet out. Maybe...TOO quiet.

All of the sudden, snowballs started flying out of the gloom, often from strange directions (like directly overhead.). It was followed by the sound of Lin's laughter. Someone's trying to start some shit.

Sure, she COULD have just invited everyone outside and told them, but this seemed more fun.

After a while, word got around and more people started getting into the spirit of it. Now it's not hunt and ambush so much as just a ton of people in a big confusing melee. Forts have been built. Tenuous alliances have been made. Factions are betraying each other at the drop of a hat, and everything is chaos.

Truly, war is hell.

This is the prompt for people who have had enough snow fighting for now and are huddled together in the kitchen, where a big ol' pot full of spiced cider is gently simmering on the stovetop making the room nice and warm and also making it smell amazing.

[OOC: Prompt 1 is obviously more focused on Lin specifically, but feel free to use the other 2 for general mingling!

[Kokoro rubs her eyes with her arm.] Wait. You have Platonic Power? Or how did you cast that shield?

Platonic Power?

Uhh... nah that's just a Protect spell. Regis' specialty so they come pretty easy to us too.

[stavros]

I see. Of course different systems would have similar techniques achieved with different means. That's true even at home.

[hardbargain]

Yeah I guess... some places have magic, apparently others don't. Some of 'em everyday people can use magic. Where I'm from it's the Royal line only.

[stavros]

I thought you weren't royalty?

[hardbargain]

I'm not. I'm just linked to Regis so I can use his power. So the royals can share the magic with their retainers to keep them safe and shit.

[stavros]

That makes sense. We don't even understand who can use Platonic Power and why, though most users seem to be young girls. Not all, though, and it's certainly not the only form of what you might refer to as magic.

[hardbargain]

So... what you're saying is that you have a team of teenage girls with super powers?

Holy shit it sounds like something my sister used to watch.

[stavros]

I assure you it's genuine. We use the power to pilot Ride Vipers as well as to supplement other skills any of us may have. For instance, I have certain bloodline abilities, and Esmeralda is a Gradian, able to manipulate lasers, is perhaps the best way to put it.

[hardbargain]

I have no clue what a Ride Viper is but I want one.

So what's you special powers? C'mon~ Whatcha got?

[stavros]

Well, there is one thing, though taking up space may be a problem...

[And Nyx plucks another snowball out of the armiger, tossing it up and down in hand a few times.]

Just makes for an easier target~

[A wicked grin before he dismisses the snowball.]

Okay okay no I won't I promise. We can head down to the beach if you think that'd give you more space to show off?

There's people attacking each other with snow down there too.
