DUNGEON - BELLMARE ENCLAVE (BELLMARE MOUNTAINS, PT 2)
The shadows are starting to grow very long as you crest his particular ridge - it's not night yet, but it will be soon. In the shadows of the afternoon, with a tall mountain already blocking the sun, lies a snow-covered valley that is different from the ones you've come across thus far in your investigation.
This valley is home to a town, and unlike all the settlements you've seen so far - Incendia, the Telovia mining town, and the manor - it's very much active. There are actual people in the streets, visible from above, going through their days on snow-free streets, bundled up against the cold.
Those of you who asked were told of the handful of people who didn't go into the slumber of stasis as the Fissure conditions of the world grew worse and worse, instead isolating themselves and trying to continue living their lives as they could. Now, it seems, you've found exactly such a group.
Welcome to the Bellmare Enclave, and enjoy your stay.
[[OOC: Welcome to part 2 of the dungeon! For the most part, interaction with the town's NPCs can be handwaved as described on the main information post. Worth noting are the following major things: The Bellmare Enclave isn't expecting visitors, though the people are generally friendly to the new arrivals. They don't know about the time dilation effect of their Fissure - to them, it's only been about eighteen years since the Slumber Plan was put in place and they withdrew from the world. And finally, by a similar token, they have no idea how far the Fissures outside of their own have grown - while it's not uncommon for them to find odd objects from time to time, they'll assume that the characters are just arrivals from other places within their own world, rather than outsiders, until told otherwise.]]

chocobo rescue
She's waiting for her meal when she lets her gaze wander, a bit more willing to openly people watch than usual, since this is such a new place. It's then that she spots Prompto and all the very... very friendly ladies on all sides, the former looking much less enthusiastic about all this talking than the latter.
Normally, she wouldn't think twice about it, but she definitely knows that look. It's the look Alice gets sometimes when there's too many people around and she wants to make a break for camp, when she feels so crammed in by people-people-people that Sophie worries she's just going to pop from the anxiety.
Sophie only watches for a few seconds longer before she finds herself on her feet and making her way over, quick-but-not-suspiciously-quick. ]
Oh, Mister Prompto! Hey, I didn't see you there!
[ She says this just a little too loud, enough to very much interrupt the one-sided flow of conversation and then starts gently elbowing her way through the crowd of Very Nice Ladies as best she can. ]
Wow, what a coincidence? Are you getting some food here? Me too! How about we have dinner together, since we're both here?
[ She says this very fast, without a pause for breath. Sophie to the rescue. ]

[Prompto doesn't literally get up and hide behind Sophie, but he does sort of shift around until she's between him and the ladies. You know, in the name of making room for her. ...And also of hiding.
ITP: 21-year-old patricide hides behind small teenage girl.]
Yeah, good to see you! H-how's your day been, Sophie?
[The name tips the ladies off that, damn, their eye candy does know the talkative little girl. A couple peel off immediately, but a couple smile fondly at Sophie, too. It's good to see so much youth and energy in this town.
They try to strike a conversation up with her instead. Oops.]

Oh, we're not from around here, no! But you probably guessed that, right? Actually, we came up here to visit and I'm so glad we did! It's so lovely up here, even with the cold! Well actually, I feel like the cold makes it even better... especially with all the, um– they're called Largomares, right? I've never seen anything like them before!
[ She says all this without letting anyone else get a word in edgeways in the hope that maybe if she gets to her point quick enough, they can escape unscathed. Or if she's obnoxious enough, these very nice ladies will decide to escape themselves. Either way. ]
Oh, actually! That reminds me! [ and then back to Prompto, with a barely concealed expression of MISSION FAILED, ABORT, ABORT ] You have a dog back at the Station, right? So you know about looking after them!
