[Well, the trip's been a long time coming, and Akira figures if nothing else, it might as well be best to get this done now. There's a lot that needs to be done in the coming week...]

Hey, do you want to get that Incendia trip done today? Might be cutting things a little close with the upcoming expedition, but...

[As for the rest of the week, when she's not doing her usual training, Akira can be found bustling around the station.

... You'd think after helping with the Halloween party, she'd be sick of doing things in the kitchen, but that's clearly not the case, as she can be found cooking up... far too much food for just herself (even taking Wildcard portions into account...).

Or, some might catch her sewing--though, it's not the usual stuffed animals she busies herself with. That... sure is a growing pile of scarves next to her... though there's one that's folded and sitting apart from the rest. That one might be going into someone in particular.

And then it's entirely possible that occasionally, she's down at the stable, taking care of a black pegasus there.]

Sorry, Est, I think you're gonna have to sit this one out...

That sounds like a good idea. I was already thinking we should pick up some coats and boots for the new arrivals.

[Goro shows up in male form, wearing a shirt most people would consider much too light for the weather. He's cut a couple holes in the back, as he's currently sporting his smaller wings. Yaeki's decided to tag along, trailing behind his feet.]

[Akira's similarly in clothes one might consider too light for the weather (though she's at least in a coat) when she shows up, her expression brightening when she spots Goro and Yaeki.]

Ready to go, then?

[He nods, bending down to pick Yaeki up.]

I'll change forms when we get there. I'm kind of enjoying being able to have wings that aren't in the way of everything.

I bet. Speaking of which...

[She'll be switching over to her Heron Laguz form and as she does, switching out her coat for a backless sweater.

... Yeah, she can already tell she's going to get a lot of mileage out of this little trick.]

It's a little something I've been working on figuring out! Right now it's just limited to what I'm carrying in my inventory, but I'm planning on working my way up to anything I own.

[A pause.]

You're the person I wanted to show it off to first. I can teach you how to do it, if you want?

That would be incredibly convenient. The only shapeshifting I have that accounts for my clothes is my merman form.

Yeah, my other form is why I started working on it to begin with...

[Lin leaned against the table where Akira was doing her sewing.]

Getting ready for a trek up to the mountains?

[She puts down the scarf she's currently working on to rub at the back of her neck.]

Admittedly, a lot of these aren't for me. We're approaching winter anyway, and who knows how many people could use something like this...

Good thinking! Winters would get pretty bad back home, so when we first went to Incendia I was sure to pick up some cold weather gear even though it was the middle of summer.

I kind of wish I'd thought to do the same at the time. I'm pretty used to what several people would consider nasty winters, but I'm sure not everyone here is.

Is it strange I'm actually kind of looking forward to winter, though?

It is a little weird, yeah. Why are you looking forwards to winter?

I like cold better than the heat, and... well, since food isn't really a worry here or anything... I'm kind of looking forward to busting out some of my colder weather recipes.

[Winter is good nabemono season!]

[He nods.]

It's a little far to ride, but should we take my bike with us to the teleporter? Incendia is a big city.

Sounds good to me!

[... In which case, she's going back to her human form and her coat. No need for her wings to be out if they'll be going on his bike.]

[Well, give him a moment to retrieve the motorcycle. His wings are gone when he comes back, since they'll get uncomfortable with someone riding behind him.]

I'll go first, so I don't accidentally bump into you on the other side.

TRYING THIS AGAIN

[She starts tying her hair back.]

... This'll be my first time on a motorcycle, you know.

It's fun, as long as you don't mind wind in your face.

[He grins, then carefully leads the bike inside and through the teleporter.]

I think you know by now whether or not I have a problem with that.

[She can't help her grin as she follows.]

[He's moved the bike out of the way by the time she gets through, leading it toward the door. When he gets it outside, he pulls a helmet out of his inventory and holds it out.]

I'm immune to damage from normal objects, but you shouldn't take the risk.
