Dragonair do shed their skin.
Who: Clair, Senryu, and YOU!
What: Hijinks brought to you by a shedding dragonair.
When: Morning 8th Nov to dusk on the 13th.
Where: Glitterstone beach + Fingers
Warnings: Will update if anything happens.
[True to her word, when Senryu finally starts to shed, Clair puts up a message on the network.] Senryu's started shedding. You're more than welcome to come and watch- I won't deny I'd enjoy the company. But be warned: She's not shy of rubbing against anyone and she is big. I'll be on Glitterstone beach nearest the Fingers from dawn to a few hours after dusk each day.
[It's not hard to spot Clair or the large serpentine dragon on the beach. Clair's in her wetsuit, various pokeballs on the belt. Sure, the weather's a touch inconvenient for Clair at times but this isn't about her, though she will greet anyone who shows up regardless of day or what else is happening.] Come to see the fuss?
[It's about the dragonair; who spends the next five days doing a good impression of a snake as she slithers, sidewinds and wriggles across the gravel-sand. It's not all she does, as she also uses the rocks and cliffs to rub against, more than once taking to the air for a better vantage point, and spends time in the sea too. Nor is she shy about going up to people and rubbing against/headbutting them with a low whine. Shedding is itchy business. Relieve the itch? Depending on the reaction it garners, Clair will step in if needed.
Otherwise, Clair's hanging back, keeping an eye on things (or at one point braiding her ponytail). One will more than likely find her other pokemon out at various points over the five days depending on the weather.
Every dusk or in the hour or so following it, Clair can be found making at least one trip back up to the station with a literal armful of shed skin, even more of the stuff loaded onto the meganium's back -held in place with glowing green vines- as it plods along after her.
By the dusk of the final day, Senryu's once again vibrant and colourful as she lays on the sand, Clair doing a final check over for non-shed skin with a practised eye.]

[When Senryū slithers up to Kyoko, she just runs her hand along the dragon's scales, petting her.]

It's Tatsuno. Tatsuno Ibuki and not all my pokémon are this big.
no subject
It's fine, Ibuki-san. I've got no problem with big animals or big Pokémon. What does this girl eat?
no subject
The line prey mostly marine life, though they will also prey on smaller pokémonn such as crab, camome, or tsubotsubo, and they will eat fruits and berries. Though, I have seen her go after a starmie once.
[Krabby, wingull, shuckle. Oneday she'll learn the English names of pokemon.]

Do you mind? I've got a red bean bun for you too. It's kind of a tradition for me by now.

[Once Clair's given the all clear, Senryu carefully takes the apple from Kyoko. It's then tossed into the air and swallowed in a single gulp with a pleased sound and Clair's muttered 'show off'.]. I would never say no to a gift. It's very kind of you even if it is a tradition.
[She seems to want to say something else, but doesn't.]

I- [There's a rueful smile and a bow.] I'd be happy to accept.
no subject
...You have a daughter?
no subject
I do. Blood adopted or not, Kris is my daughter and I'll end anyone who says she's not or hurts her again.
[Never mind she literally means that, nope. The pack's opened and she takes a bite out the bun.] Did you make this?
no subject
Nah, I picked it up in Incendia. I can cook, bake too, but it's been a while.
no subject
I'm sorry to hear that. Why'd you stop?
no subject
[She's biting into the Taiyaki harder than before now.]

[Then a sheepish grin.] Not that I have room to talk myself.

The magic of this place fixed that problem for me, but it's still ridiculously fucked up.

Thankfully when it approaches for scritches, he has enough experience with the coeurl that's padding along beside him to know what it wants, and obliges, if a little awkwardly. How do scritch serpent-likes]
Can't say I've ever met a creature that sheds its skin before. It doesn't sound like fun.
no subject
It's not. According to Wataru, 'it's like being covered in a layer of glue, but you can't wash it off, so all you can do is rub at it and hope it comes off'. But it's nothing compared to the arbo-line, habunake, or a sanagiras. They can't soak in water to ease it.
no subject
Sounds rather gross, if I'm honest. I'm glad none of the monsters I used to share spare with shed their skin. The fur was enough.
no subject
He was young when he gave the analogy. It's nothing more than dry skin; gather enough and it can be made into various garments.
no subject
Hm. So annoying for the creature, but can end up being useful at least. Are you planning to do so with this shed?
no subject
Otherwise, I'll likely think about bracers or belts as they would be the easiest.
[Given she's a complete novice to uh. Everything. hahaha...]

A rougher texture works better for this, right?
no subject
It would, but I work with what's around. [A small sigh.] Nor is this worst she's shed with.
no subject
Kate sheds too, but she can't fly, so she doesn't get as energetic as this. [Also, she's more used to being wild by now.]
no subject
I half wish Wataru were here too. His Urashima's lazy about shedding compared to the average ryū-line. I'm not sure how much is his personality, or how much is because he's a 'cean-kai.
[-Uh Clair: no-one here understands dragon clan slang.]
