The first rule of Sick Club is
Who: Bai Lin and whoever
What: Lin tries to keep up her normal routine despite catching a cold
When: September 5ish
Where: The field outside Keystone Station and also some other places
Warnings: Nose blowing
-1: Fight Club?-
10am, Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, on a grassy field outside of Keystone Station, Lin leads a class for all of the people here who want to learn how to fight a bit better. All she asks in return is that they take her lessons seriously and that they listen to her ramble on about morality and meditation for half the lesson. This usually takes up about two hours, after which she opens the field to general free sparring between anyone who feels like it.
THIS week, however, her class is confusing and rambling and also interrupted frequently by coughing fits or sneezing, and her motions are sluggish compared to normal. She's visibly shivering sometimes, despite it being a pleasantly warm day.
After about half an hour, Lin stops and admits what is patently obvious. "As you can see, I'm feeling a bit under the weather right now, so I'm-" cough cough, "-going to call it early and get some rest. We'll skip to free sparring. I don't think you need me around for that."
-2: Recuperation-
Normally she's anything but a couch potato. Right now, a mildly miserable looking Lin is spending most of her time in her room. If she's NOT in her room, however, she can be found:
- In the kitchen, making tea or a snack
- In the AV center, watching whatever random movies we have lying around
- In the library, reading a book. Usually some kind of trashy romance novel.

[Mai's there with Bear-san on a leash, and she seems to be paging through another magical theory textbook.]
Flu? Or something else.

[Lin has a blanket over her shoulders as she reads. The blanket is, oddly, a rainbow pattern matching the Troll hemospectrum, not that she knows that. She sniffs loudly.]
Yeah. Flu.

Mu fiddles with her scarf as she watches, all the more unsure of herself because the 'instructor' for the group is a little out of it.]
Are you alright? Do you want someone to take you to medical?
[At least the android in the yellow scarf, for all her usual energy, is sensible enough to keep her voice down a little at a sick person.]
no subject
[She HAD noticed the android hanging out at the edge of the group. Lin sniffed loudly before continuing.]
Neutrino, right?
no subject
[It's alright, Lin.]
There's really a lot of us now, huh? 'Trino's got a black scarf now.

"Lemon tea helps with colds," he notes. "As well as dandelion, although I'm not sure if that's available here."

The kettle started whistling, so Lin took it and poured her tea. "Tea is tea, though. Good for the soul. And the body, if you're sick."

The trails of fire in the mall parking lot on the screen would be a great indication of what, but the man gawking clearly has a full, fluffy beard rather than the poofy hair Phi would have expected.
"I don't think I ever wanted to know what Dr. Brown would look like with all his hair on his face instead of just the sides of his head."

Because where would Lin have seen Back to the Future?

Except today, the leader of the lessons seems a bit...frankly, like she shouldn't even be out of bed.]
I know of some herbal teas that soothe a raw throat, if you're interested.
[Later, he can be approached during free sparring. Today, he's chosen to practice with the black swords he always carries crossed against his back (but never uses in a match), and there's something noticeably different about his movements. Somehow, the swords move as if responding to his very will - even the cord connecting them at the pommels always seems to be where it's least inconvenient.]

[He got a wan smile at that.]
As long as it's not strawberry. I keep finding boxes of strawberry tea in fissures and I'm getting tired of it.

[...It's a shame Saori isn't here. She'd be able to conjure some easily.]
I'll see if the garden or greenhouse have the necessary plants.

Don't you think you should be staying in bed?

[She was going to get a snack, but since she can see Alastor has got that handled she decided to just pull up a chair and let him get it out of his system]
I have been in a bed all day. I got hungry and bored, a walk to the kitchen isn't going to knock me out.

Once she's done talking, Erina actually sticks her hand up, suddenly resembling a person with something that could be mistaken for good manners. ]

Assuming, of course, that she remembers him at all, especially without the Victorian get up.]

[Lin stared at him blankly for a moment, trying to place the face. She didn't feel well, and he wasn't dressed as he had been before, but...
She hazarded a guess.]

[He backs up.]
My apologies--I have been... away, I believe?
[He seems a little more nervous, but not by much.]
What are you reading? Are you ill?
