say or do
Who: everyone's invited, everyone
What: Truth or Dare!
When: Evening of August 25
Where: Keystone Rise common room
Warnings: nothing expected? there are children here
[Friday morning a network post appears which reads:]
For the enjoyment of all, and that we may come to know each other more closely, you are cordially invited to the Keystone Rise common room this evening at seven o'clock for refreshments and the classic party game "Truth or Dare." Everyone will be welcome, regardless of age.
[As promised, residents arriving in the common room will find a table with an assortment of food and drink laid out. (Don't worry, Yuuri helped with the food, so it's not just the candy aisle. Be sure to thank Goro for the drinks later.) Arianna's also brought in an assortment of couches (which she apparently carried???) and extra chairs, a few of which are those slightly uncomfortable bank chairs Arianna seems to like for some reason.
The lady herself waits by the entrance, greeting everyone who comes in, until it looks like her guests are done arriving. Then she gets up on a chair to speak.]
Good evening, everyone, and welcome.
I presume many of you are familiar with the game we are to play tonight. For those who are not, it is simple. We'll draw lots to determine the play order, and then each player will ask the next "truth or dare?" If the other player responds with "truth," you may ask them a question which they must answer truthfully. If they instead say "dare," you may instead give them a command they must obey. Once all players have taken a turn, we'll play a second around, and continue for as long as you are interested.
Now, there are of course several rules. While embarrassing other players is arguably an intended goal of the game, making them uncomfortable is not, and if that is the effect of your truth or dare I must ask that you change it. Moreover, please keep in mind your respective ages and those of your audience, and do nothing that the rest of us would find inappropriate in that regard.
If all this is understood, then without further ado, let us begin.
[OOC: So how this actually works is, you post a toplevel and other people respond to it. ICly the assignments are random like Arianna says, but OOCly you can just tag whoever you want, go back and forth, etc. And as she mentioned, there are children here, so try to behave appropriately.
I'll be ripping off Nai's format and posting toplevels for responding to Arianna's network post and for pregame chatter. Non-ToD threads should go under one of those.]

[Arianna walks over and slams her hand against the wall the same way (though lower, since she's shorter). ENJOY YOUR SECOND KABEDON IN ABOUT A MINUTE, LILY.]
no subject
THIS IS IT
TWO CUTE GIRLS ARE KABEDONING HER AND VERY CLOSE AND SHE'S OFFICIALLY UNABLE TO MOVE, HER FACE IS VERY CLOSE TO MATCHING HER HAIR
LILY.EXE HAS STOPPED FUNCTIONING
SOMEONE SAVE HER]
no subject
[Still from halfway across the room, still wanting oden.]
no subject
[ARIANNA MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE BEFORE LILY EXPLODES? INSTEAD OF STANDING HERE TALKING ABOUT HOW CUTE SHE IS WHILE YOU'RE CLOSE LIKE THAT?]
no subject
I- I- I- I'm not- I mean- You're cute- I mean-
[she remembered how to talk in time to deny anyone else saying nice things about her]
no subject
[SHE'S STILL THERE SOMEONE REMOVE HER]
no subject
[SOMEONE REMOVE HER
OR BETTER YET, NEVER DO THAT.]
no subject
[Concerned, Arianna ACTUALLY LEANS IN A LITTLE CLOSER? SOMEHOW?]
no subject
[her voice is timid and squeaky and oh god she's so close how is she so close what is she going to do help]
no subject
At this point, though, she gets the idea and finally backs away, though she's a little off in her understand.]
Have I made you uncomfortable? My apologies.

no subject
[SHE ACTUALLY DOES FOR ONCE?]
no subject
no subject
[her voice is a high-pitched squeak of being a gay mess.]

no subject
[SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS SHE IS DYING IN HER USELESS GAY HEART]
no subject
Need someone to rescue you from the Great Purple Terror?
[She winks playfully at Arianna- no hard feelings, right? She's just teasing Lily. Besides, how often does Arianna get to play the villain? She might have fun playing along...]
no subject
[help her she just really wants to kiss a girl and it's weird and probably bad!]
no subject
And kabedons Lily again.]
You'll never escape!
no subject
You're a cunning foe... looks like I'm gonna have to resort to drastic measures.
[With a sudden burst of action, she unleashes her secret technique:]
[Scooping Lily up in a princess carry. Which, given how tall Jail is, means she's now quite a bit higher up.]
Hah, now try getting her all the way up here!
no subject
J- Jail?!
[WHAT IS SHE SUPPOSED TO DO, SHE IS USELESS NOW, WHAT THE FUCK
she's throwing her arms around jail's shoulders to help keep herself balanced, though]]
no subject
[Arianna holds her arms up "threateningly" and walks slowly after them, looking for all the world like a small child pretending to be a dinosaur.]
no subject
Oh shit, looks like we better make a strategic retreat- quick, to safe haven!
[Also known as the couch.]
[She turns dramatically and speedwalks towards the couch, giving Arianna a chance to chase after them. Lily would know that Jail can run when she needs to, she's seen her fight, but this isn't anything like that- it's just playing around, pure and simple. The kind of childish fun they never really got to have.]
no subject
[That said, she's... at least giggling a bit, as she holds onto Jail for dear life.]
