DUNGEON LOG - TELOVIA MINES

The day dawns bright and early - the same as most every expedition. The only difference is that you'll need to take the teleportation pad to Lodestone as a starting point - the gliders and drones are already there. There's clouds on the horizon, though, so if you're going to take a glider and go, you'd better get going.

There's some new additions, though, to the usual group of androids seeing you off. Tau is checking over the drones ready to carry those who can't or won't use the gliders, and Muon is practicing opening and collapsing the wings of a glider with bright yellow sails. She grins at anyone who approaches, shooting them a thumbs up.

"Don't worry about getting lost or falling behind! As long as Tau's here, they'll keep us all together."

And with that bit of bright cheer, it's off towards the mountains you go...

----

From the air, the remains of the mining town are almost impossible to tell from any other part of the forest. The trees - especially the old ones - are much thinner, and that's really the only sign of what's below.

But Muon's bright yellow glider, leading the way, dips down into the treeline before landing in an open space, and anyone who isn't paying enough attention to follow will feel their glider being herded in the same direction by Tau's power - control not outright taken, but more of a nudge, like, hey buddy it's this way. The group lands just beyond the border of the Fissure - a tiny stable spot in whatever's left of this world.

And a good thing, too, because landing in the Fissure itself could prove quite difficult...

... Maybe. But... It's still awkward. I've become something I'm not supposed to be, somehow, and... It's kind of terrifying, you know?

Yeah, I can see that it would be. Change is always kind of scary, especially when you didn't expect it.

[Noooot thinking on things back home, not going to think about]

Do you feel like it's a bad change though? Or just a scary one?
have_hat_will_travel: (Huh)

[personal profile] have_hat_will_travel 2018-09-25 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
... I'd say in a certain way I find it really disquieting? I'm good at reading people even without detect thoughts so I know better than to feel the need to be on eggshells, but I still am because the idea that simply being not entirely the villain I'm supposed to be is working out somehow kinda freaks me out?

It's also complicated by the fact that when I return home, if it turns out I've gone soft, I'm probably done for.

Huh... [She really can't see Pid as a villain, but that's because Minako is pretty optimistic when it comes to people]

Perhaps time will help with the walking on eggshells. As for going soft...maybe you can use what you learn here about things to make up for the thought of being soft back home?

Implying my Queen would deign to care about such things is almost funny.

I am loyal to her nonetheless. I do have to return home.

Well, you're supposed to be a villain, right? Being friendly here, it's a way of learning how people act around others, and react even if they know what you're like. That could be useful in some ways, I think.

[Protag gotta protag and try to help. Even when it's an odd topic]

I... Guess I could try that spin? Maybe.

Enough about me, though. I'd like to hear a bit about yourself, if you don't mind?
fullmoonfool: (Happy)

[personal profile] fullmoonfool 2018-09-28 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Minako smiles and nods, fine with the topic change]

I don't mind. Though I admit I'm not sure what to say...I'm used to listening to others more than talking about myself. [Sheepish laugh] I'm mostly just an ordinary school student.

['Mostly'. The thought makes her run a hand over her Evoker, the silver gun reflecting the light]

I'm. Going to guess the 'not mostly' bit relates to the gun somehow? That'd be really weird, from my understanding of your kind of world, for the gun to be NORMAL.
fullmoonfool: (Watching)

[personal profile] fullmoonfool 2018-10-03 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
A little. [She smiles] It's not a proper gun. It's called an Evoker. I can use it to summon my Persona.
have_hat_will_travel: (Huhwhat?)

[personal profile] have_hat_will_travel 2018-10-04 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds. Completely different from how other Persona users here summon theirs. Not that I entirely get how they work, so multiple ways to summon them isn't... Too weird I guess?
fullmoonfool: (Thinking)

[personal profile] fullmoonfool 2018-10-26 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, really? That's strange. My friends back home all summon theirs in the same way...I guess I'll have to ask about it later. I don't really know how else you'd be able to summon one.
have_hat_will_travel: (Chill out and relax!)

Could just be a world to world difference. I mean, bardic music doesn't have special power on a lot of worlds, but does for mine... And I can still use it to empower others here, so.
