[Jailbreak catchall] like a river, like a river

Who: Jail and whoever you decide to bring to it.
When: Generally throughout July.
Where: Various places around the Station.
What: Shenanigans.
Warnings: Drinking, partial nudity, and everything Jailbreak chooses to be.

I. faster than a hair-pin trigger [just out the front of the Station, morning]

[Say what you will about her, Jail clearly knows how to drum up business- lost in a whole other world and she's still getting commissions from people.]

[Right now, she's working on some bikes. Both Akechi and Izunia were interested enough in the motorcycles around Incendia to bring some back, and had offered to trade her lessons in hammerspace powers and cooking, respectively, in exchange for her reworking them to run on something other than the city's run-down magical grid.]

[Since it's a nice day, she's taken her work outside, spreading a tarp out on an area of cleared, flat stone right out the front door of the Station. There's lots of machine parts spread around on it, being rebuilt and rearranged in strange new ways, plus a notebook with plans scribbled on it.]

[Her hair's pinned up in a casually messy bun and her feet are bare, and she works with the happy efficiency of someone fully in their element. She's got a lightweight but sturdy plastic frame set up to hang things on if she needs to work with both hands at once, and she hauls machinery onto or off of it with ease. At some point in the day, it apparently got hot enough that she stripped off her T-shirt, and she's now absent-mindedly using it as a rag to wipe streaks of oil and engine grease off her fingers.]

[Or, to put it another way, there's a tall muscular woman wearing nothing but a sports bra and a pair of distressed jeans fixing a motorcycle in a way that involves a lot of flexing and sweating and cleverly nimble tool-use, right out there in the open where anyone can watch.]

[You're welcome, Station residents.]

II. the fool who's willing [outside the Station and closer to the woods, daytime]

[A little ways away from the Station, where the rocky sands of the beach have just started to segue into the more verdant areas of the woods beyond the shore, you can find a nondescript bit of scrubby grassland with a few short, scattered trees.]

[Jail is sitting underneath one, legs crossed and back straight against the trunk, hands resting in her lap. Her eyes are closed and her expression is thoughtful, pensive. It looks almost like she's... meditating?]

[There's an odd thought. She's usually more the type to seek outer chaos than inner peace...]

III. it'll just pay it [magitech research labs, afternoon]

[It's not unusual to hear sounds coming from the labs- pens scratching on paper, the clank of metal on metal, the tapping of computer keys. But today there's the slightly less common noise of... singing?]

-baby, stand and deliver~

[If you take a peek into the lab, you find Jail working out some bizarre and highly complicated equation on one of the whiteboards, cheerfully singing along to the song playing from her cellphone, which she appears to have rigged up as a makeshift radio for the moment.]

[She's got a pretty decent voice, for someone wearing a gasmask and using a dry-erase marker as a microphone.]

IV. make me a sinner [A/V room, evening]

[Some people might consider being trapped in a strange new dimension with an uncertain future to be reason to focus less on enjoying themselves and more on survival. Jail is not one of them.]

[There's no point in not kicking back once in a while, or preferably a lot more often than that. Which explains why you can find her sitting cross-legged on a couch in the A/V room wearing boxer shorts and a tank top that were clearly intended as pajama clothes, cackling gleefully as she beats the hell out of some poor computerized enemy in a video game and drinking directly from a bottle of what claims to be peanut-butter-and-jelly-flavored vodka.]

[It looks like there's a two-player option, if you're into that sort of thing. Join her?]

V. can't change the way we are

[Free space, feel free to offer your own prompt here. Jail can be found pretty much anywhere around the Station or exploring off on her own outside of it, driving around in her new magitech hovercab.]

As long as you land on something, I think so?
ax_iom: (I understand and we move forward)

And the not exploding part.
