Technology is our friend and enemy...
Who: Futaba and anyone who wants to come across her?
What: She finally discovered the A/V Center and uh... kinda holes herself up in one of the rooms...
When: 6/5 - 6/8 (OOCly 6/24-6/27)
Where: Library, A/V Center
Warnings: N/A
Library -- 6-5 (early morning/afternoon) --
[ Anyone who's in the immediate area may catch sight of Futaba as she heads up to the library, humming to herself as she looks through the different sections. Eventually leaving with a couple of very questionable looking books, one of which clearly appears to be some kind of eromanga but she doesn't exactly look like she's bothering to hide it any.
The rest are just happening to be regular books, a couple of them being on technology and some about magic but otherwise just seeming pleased with herself, despite the content of the books she's chosen to take with her. ]
A/V Center -- 6/5 (late evening) - 6/8 --
[ From the start she's always been technologically savvy and this was no different, holding an innate love for all things tech so when she finally made her way through the annex, she'd discovered there was an A/V center and immediately made to fetch her laptop and headed down there without even the slightest thought or hesitation.
Checking things out in the first three rooms, she immediately decided to start with grabbing one of the game systems and some games before going to the first room with the massive screen and getting things all set up in there and beginning to just sit there and play some games with glorious surround sound adding to the experience. At any point people might tend to notice that she... had ended up only grabbing a bit of snacks and water from the kitchen to bring in with her but otherwise was NOT leaving the room. At least if just to go grab another system and trying some other games.
If not playing games, then one can see her all curled up on one of the recliners with her laptop on her lap and her red earphones covering her ears at some point but there's one notable thing after the second day. This girl has NOT left to sleep or consistently eat. Let alone take care of herself.
Someone might have to intervene before she simply just passes out. Since that is kind of a thing. ]

Still alive?
no subject
Yup. Why wouldn't I be?
[ Going back to pressing buttons on the controller in her hands, attention back on the large screen. ]
no subject
Have you...left this room at all?
no subject
[ Spoken as matter-factly as possible, looking happy despite her complete and utter lack of sleep that was evident. ]
If I did, I don't remember doing so consciously.

[He's 5 seconds away from going into dad mode here.]
no subject
[ Please dad at her some, Carnivac. She needs it. ]
no subject
[Disapproving wolf face: engaged. Dad mode: activated.]
Get up. Now.
6/7
[In particular, a tall silver-haired woman in a gasmask seems to be in there a lot, playing video games or fiddling with various devices in complicated ways. She doesn't seem bothered by having someone else around, just giving Futaba a friendly nod and otherwise leaving her alone for the first couple days.]
[Then, on the seventh, she speaks out of the blue:]
Hey, kid, you like tuna?
[She's holding up a prepackaged sandwich- looks like the last time she was out of this room, she made a snack run.]
no subject
Only as the silver-haired woman spoke up, did it get her attention and she looked over the rims of her glasses almost curiously. ]
I do. Not as much as a certain cat I know, but still.
[ Going to look at it and then back up to Jailbreak. Totally seeming to be somewhat fairly functional for a girl who hasn't had sleep in days. ]
Why do you ask?
no subject
[She tosses the sandwich at Futaba and flops down on a nearby couch with the rest of her food.]
I know what a computer marathon looks like, and I don't see lunch in here with you. Figured I oughtta make sure you didn't keel over. Last thing I need in here's a dead body- the smell would be fucking terrible.
no subject
Nah. This wasn't gonna kill me. Not even close.
[ Spoken so easily even as she finally makes to open it properly and takes a bite of it, then another while being mindful not to rush or go too fast. ]
I brought some snacks and a bit of water in here with me when I started so it's not like I was running off nothing, though.
no subject
[Jail, you're twenty-six and a reckless idiot, that entire sentence is complete bullshit.]
So, whatcha been playing? They got any good games here, or is that shit you brought from home?
library
Oh. It's here now.
no subject
I take it you know where exactly this kinda book came from.
no subject
[At least Mai doesn't seem to care too much?]
no subject
[ So nonchalant. Even with the content of what this thing's about, too. ]
no subject
[A long pause. She takes out a piece of paper and draws... ????????]
Theories. Helpful?

Zel, Maddie's cat, heads in as well, darting ahead of the blind girl and meowing as he jumps onto an empty recliner near Futaba.
As Maddie heads over to him, she pauses. She pulls aside her own headphones, able to hear the sound coming from Futaba's slightly. ]
Ah... is somebody else here? [ That's not... the projector, right? That's the sound of somebody here on a phone or laptop, right? ]
[ Maddie outfit check: headphones, shirt, oversized flannel. ]
no subject
Wait. That cat was--?
Futaba blinked a couple times before pressing stop on the music that had been playing through her earphones, moving them down so they rested around her neck and out of the way for now. She looked up and over at Maddie in time to see what the other girl was wearing and tried hard - failing miserably - not to grin, even if she knew Maddie couldn't see it. ]
Yup. S'just me, though.
[ A beat. She should clarify just in case, even if just a little. ]
Remember me from the forest? Seems like a while ago, now that I think about it.
no subject
Sorry, I didn't mean to. Interrupt? [ Whatever it is Futaba was doing. ] I was recording in the recording room, and I wanted to listen back to it in an actual good chair.
I can go if that'd be a bother.
no subject
[ Seriously. She had a lot of fun with that whole thing, after all. ]
It's alright. Think it's about time I took a break anyway.
[ Stretching out her arms above her head with a noise of contentment, she then shook her head vigorously. ]
What? No, s'not a bother at all. Go ahead and do what you need to. Kinda curious to see how things turned out for ya in that recording you did.
Library
In fact, the way he blinks and pinches the bridge of his nose when he sees what Futaba's carrying suggests he has opinions on how discreet she isn't being.]
Well, that's about the last thing I wanted to see my little sister holding.
no subject
Completely unperturbed about it in contrast to him in every way. ]
You were bound to find out certain things I like to read sooner or later. Why hide it?
[ She then used one hand to point to the stack he was carrying. ]
Kinda sad how i'm the younger one here and I don't have a problem with people seeing what i'm reading, though.
no subject
I-it's called having the decency to keep these things private!
[And not being utterly ashamed at acting like a hormonal teenager, or anything like that.]
no subject
[ Still remaining as casual as hell about this, raising an eyebrow at him continuing to be so flustered and bothered by this whole thing. Going to even use her one hand to pick up the 'inappropriate' book and looking at the back cover without even blinking. ]
It's okay to act your age and admit that you like stuff like that. You don't really see me outwardly flaunting my interests besides carrying this, do you?
6/7
It's getting toward the early hours of the morning, after midnight but before sunset, when the spandex clad devil walks over and crosses his arms.]
I'm no expert, but don't humans need to sleep every night?
no subject
Probably. Yeah. M'not tired though so what's the big deal?
[ Just casually taking down baddies in the level with surprising levels of coherency but it's clear she's technically tired, even if she isn't showing it entirely. ]
It's not like it's the first time i've went this long without sleep.

[ She's painfully stubborn there, Alastor. Not admitting that you're completely right in what you've said to her on that note. ]
AV room
Sighing, Morgana pads over to climb into Futaba's lap--from the front, rather than the side. Naturally, this means crawling over and walking on her controller on the way there, and hitting whatever buttons or joysticks his paws happen to land on in the process. Hope you weren't playing anything real-time or strategy-based, huh?]
Sooooo..... exactly how long have you been playing?
no subject
Hours. Days, I think. Maybe. Lost track of time a while back.
[ Spoken without a second thought, moving her glasses a bit so she could rub at her eyes some with a small sigh. Determined to finish this level in the game before she did much else, but she'd thought that about the many, MANY others before this one. ]
no subject
[The most dramatic exasperated flop! .....Squarely on top of the controller.]
When was the last time you even ate, anyway?
