[ Common Room ]

[ Nono's day starts bright and early. Despite the party the night before and the copious amounts of alcohol ingested, she seems none worse for the wear. Nono has claimed a portion of the common room for herself, and has a huge stack of origami paper next on one of the small tables there.

After a good number of hours, a little after normal-people-wake-up-time but probably around hungover-people-wake-up-time, there are dozens of folded origami cranes dotting the table... the floor... several chairs... a couch... And they're all pretty badly made.

Why, Nono? ]


[ Medbay ]

[ After all of that, Nono can be found carrying all of those cranes into the Medbay. Just a huge armful of paper cranes in all sorts of colors. ]

I'm here to drop off these birds! It's supposed to make sick people get better.

Um, where should I...?


[ Viewing Deck ]

[ After dropping off those origami birds, Nono went off on a short exploration trip. She can be found coming back in the early afternoon by... flying through the air. With giant plumes of energy shooting out from her feet, like thrusters. Unlike normal, her hair seems to be a bright orange now. Her scarf trails behind her as she comes in closer - rapidly.

Once she's very close, she sharply drops in speed, the thrusters kicking off. Despite that, she has no problems now floating gently down, toward the viewing deck. An almost imperceptible bubble around her fades as she touches down, and her hair seems to turn from orange to pink in a gradient, the pink moving from the roots down to the tips of her hair. ]

...Wow! That was sure a trip! I can't believe you can just find stuff out there.


[ AV Room - Theater ]

[ At some point during the late afternoon, Nono has taken over the AV floor's theater. She's used to projectors - Onee-sama had one in her room, the one that she and Nono then shared - and she wanted to feel like she was back home, if only for a few moments.

There's an open DVD case lying near the DVD player she confiscated - it's apparently titled David Attenborough's Birds of Paradise. It's playing up on the projection screen, and Nono is watching with rapt fascination. It seems to be a documentary on tropical birds in some place called New Guinea.

Nono is seriously enraptured though. She doesn't even notice anybody else enter the theater. ]

[Lin, normally a morning person, stumbles into the common room with a glass of water and sits down to slowly start sipping on it until she feels less awful. So definitely a bit hung over, although she did make it down here at normal person wake up time rather than hungover person wake up time.

She didn't even notice Nono at first.]

Nono? What are you doing?

Oh, hello! [ Nono seems. Absurdly cheerful this morning. ] I'm folding cranes. [ There are, indeed, several already placed around Nono. ]

[Once she gets some water in her, Lin starts looking better.]

They're cute, I guess.

You don't... look so good.

You should take one! [ This is Nono immediately shoving the crane she was working on into Bai Lin's face. It's red, so at least it... matches? ]

I'm fine. Just-

[bird in face.]

-Oh, thank...you...?

[Oragami bird added to inventory. By which I mean put down on the table in front of her.]

I'm just tired. I was up very, very late.

You're definitely going to be fine, now! Because you give these cranes to people who aren't feeling well... to make them better!

That's what onee-sama told me.

[She carefully picked up the poorly made paper crane to inspect it closer.]

This will make me feel better?

That's right!

I'm still not as good as onee-sama is at making them, but they'll still help. Probably.

So it's like a charm for good health, then. Cute.

[She carefully put the crane down and patted it on the head with one finger.]

I guess buster machines don't get hangovers?

Yes! That's it exactly! A charm for good health!

I don't know about hangovers though! But I feel fine.

Honestly I don't feel THAT bad either. Maybe the crane is working.

I could feel a LOT worse than I do now and I'd still consider last night worth it. I had fun!

It was! I never really drank like that before! And I liked the game! Even when the questions were unfairly targeting me!

[ The naked people didn't really do too much for her though. ]

I was surprised you were able to get drunk! But then, you do look so much like a human that maybe it isn't that unusual.

I seem to have been built to mimic a lot of human things!

But I was also able to sober up immediately when Izunia asked for help bringing people back to their rooms.

Sobering up on command seems like a pretty handy trick.

[Arianna is out on the viewing deck to stare wistfully into empty space, but the space isn't as empty as she expected. She finds herself staring as she witnesses, well, all of that.]

My goodness...

[And continues staring afterward.]

That was... you are like...

[Even she isn't ridiculous enough to jump directly to "are you a spaceship somehow?"]

[ Nono notices Arianna's stares. Fixing a wide grin on her face, Nono takes a couple steps towards her. ]

That's right. I...

[ She pulls two... DVDs. Out of somewhere. ]

Managed to find these! Just floating in the water out on the ocean! Amazing, right!?

That is quite extraordinary! I found items underwater in the sunken ships, but nothing simply floating on the surface!

[Mai is in there like a rocket, sitting down and watching in awe. Bear-san follows after, whining and vacuuming around for something to eat.]

[ Nono has been watching enraptured for a bit. She doesn't notice Mai enter, but when she speaks up, Nono does take notice. ]

Yes! Look how colorful these birds are!

Do you need me to rewind?

[ Nono hits the rewind chapter button a few times as she nods herself. ]

That's right! I've wanted to visit Earth for a long time and see the birds with onee-sama.

We would watch documentaries like this together in our room.

[It's stilted, like she's not sure exactly what you say here. She watches the video intently.]

It's okay. I said my goodbyes before I left. I couldn't take her with me, even if I didn't expect to wind up here.

As long as she remembers our dream, I'm sure I'll meet her - oh look at that bird!

I like these ones, too. [ The video is talking about birds of paradise, colorful tropical birds in Madagascar. ] They're so pretty.
