What: Akira decided to throw a surprise party for his boyfriend.

Warnings: None! Akira specifically made a Hard Request that there be absolutely No Alcohol Consumption at this party!


[ Between the Fissure and the sickness and the... everything else, Akira had started to get frustrated with a lack of progress he was making on the party preparations.

But he'd stubbornly kept to it; by this point, he's sent out a message to every individual, sans Goro Akechi, letting them know the time and location of the party. He's instructed everyone to keep alcohol out of the main party. But also? To not tell Goro there's a party, at all. Some messages were customized, such as... to the people he would be worried about blabbing the secret?

For those fine folks, he didn't say who the party was for, no matter how many times they asked. In fact, if they asked more than twice, he just started telling them awful puns to distract and annoy them until they stopped asking. ♥

The place I was in just before coming here. They locked us all in a school called Fayflower University, and told us that we had to succeed in their exam. Unlike some of the places I've heard about, they never enforced murder; there was nothing specifically telling us that the only way to go home, was to kill one another and get away with it.

[ A grim smirk surfaces. ]

They just listed a rule that stated we were allowed to hurt each other. A similarity between that place and the ones I've heard of, is in how they gave us titles... For instance, the Akira Kurusu trapped in that place was titled the Prospect of Vigilantism.

[...Akira said he was trapped in a mall, not a school... But then, there's a girl Akira here, too. Why...are there so many.....

Faced with the idea of who knows how many iterations of his own world, Minato feels....smaller and even more insignificant than he already did. And, once again, he doesn't have words that are adequate for the scenario. He stares at the floor.]

I'm sorry you had to go through that. [They may be token words of sympathy, but there's nothing but absolute sincerity behind them.]

[ He holds a blink and shakes his head. ]

It wasn't the worst place I've ever been. I'd take going back there over going back to Daeseon...

Is... Is it that bad?

[Is Daeseon his home? The school sounds bad - if his home was worse, then....the thought is mildly distressing. A home is supposed to be safe, somewhere you belong, isn't it?]

[ He's quiet for a couple of seconds, and then he hesitates. ]

... I never knew it was, until I had something to compare it to. Getting to see the sun and the stars is...

[ There's the ghost of a smile. It'll be difficult to see from this angle. ]

There's nothing you miss from your home?

[There's a lot Minato doesn't understand, at least not yet. But he's trying. The sun, and the stars... Immediately he thinks of a constant Dark Hour. The thought is horrifying.]

Then maybe you just....don't have a home? [Like Minato himself.] Yet? [He sounds....confused.]

[ He has no clue why he feels compelled to come out with it, so clearly... ]

More like I... was always alone, as far as I remembered, on Daeseon. No family, no friends.
