It might not be necessary for every fissure, but... [She sighs, and spreads her hands briefly in a "what can I say" kind of gesture.] Five days of persistent exposure to that last one was very nearly more than some of our team could handle, psychologically, and it was even harder on some of the new arrivals. I'm worried that if we don't find some way to mitigate similar stresses in future fissures, we're going to find the number of people willing to go back in at all will drop off pretty dramatically.
And also I'm not crazy about the idea of doing major medical triage in an active fissure zone, if there could be an even slightly more stable alternative.
