Fascinating. Magic seems to manifest itself differently across different realms. Some places consider it a science, some places put heavy emphasis on the divine, some places - yours, for example - have very specific requirements that must be met, such as bloodline compatibility or birth order. I admit it makes it terribly difficult to learn how to use it when everyone's explanation differs.
My understanding is that here, it is based upon intent. But...I am the type of person who needs to know how something works to use it to its full effect. By what mechanism is intent made tangible? What is the source of the energy involved in the transfer between intent and result? Things of that nature.
