[ It takes her a few moments of hesitation before she answers. He's obviously assumed she doesn't have any powers, and that's odd for its own reasons - where she's from, everyone has a power, just about, unless they haven't used to control it, or...something like that. That might be what he's referring to. He probably hasn't had it willingly stripped away like Tali's mother has.
And Tali has a power, but if he doesn't... her abilities aren't going to be of much use. All she really has in terms of powers are her nullification abilities. She's weighing her options. He's a big guy, and she hasn't seen enough of him to determine whether or not he's at all trained to fight. That's gonna be a problem in close quarters. Traditionally, guys who aren't working-class aren't really where she's from, and even then, that was only if they had an interest in the military or city guard. A quick glance at his hands and the fact that he looks like he got his ass handed to him suggests that 1) he's the kind of guy who probably hasn't done much manual labor, and 2) there's at least one person here capable of handing his ass to him. More to the point, she remembers that a lot of the assassins her stepdad sent after her were guys because that's what everyone expected...
If she tells him now, there's the option that he'd overestimate just how much she needs them, which would be to her advantage... but she's not sure whether or not revealing it would also mean he's going to ask her to use it for whatever he wants, eventually.
What to do, what to do... ]
In a few ways, I suppose.
[ Well, she answered the question. She does, in fact, lack power when it comes to determining who even has control of this situation. ]
