Slightly belated January catchall

Who: Kurama, Minato, and assorted others
What: Smol Malboros, gardening, coping mechanisms, etc.
When: Throughout January
Where: Various
Warnings: Emotional distress in first prompt? Any other warnings probably in subject lines.

Jan 8th

[The subfissure was...not the best time for Kurama? There's a lot that he just Didn't Deal With in the Fissure, because he couldn't afford to be out of action for however long it took him to handle his problems.

But now they're safely back at the station. There's probably inevitably going to be post-Fissure illnesses, there always are, but that's not something he needs to be constantly on point for.

So he goes out to the sakura grove and settles under one of the trees. He cracks open the walls separating him from all that repressed emotion. And he starts to cry, silently, curling in on himself and shuddering.]

[There's a Malboro in the station! Except...it's tiny. Only maybe knee-high. It's skittering along behind Kurama as he walks through the station, miniature tentacles waving around frenetically.

It's almost cute? Your mileage may vary.

Though it does sometimes start to open its maw a little too wide, usually earning a sharp look from the redhead.]

If you ailment anything, you're going back in the seed.

Jan 23rd, closed to Minato

[Minato did ask Kurama to teach him about gardening. This is at least 30% safer than asking him to train you. Actually, Minato might be glad he did. Kurama on the garden level is more at home than almost anywhere else on the station. (Almost. It doesn't beat the room he shares with his fiances.) He's very peaceful and almost serene as he shows Minato how to care for the plants the normal way.

Of course, Kurama is also going to show Minato his way, plants springing from seed to fully grown under the gentle touch of the fox's energy.]

It's very easy for me, actually. These are all very domesticated plants, they're obedient and not particularly demanding.

Jan 25-27

[For a few days, it's easiest to find Kurama up on the cliffs, fighting himself. No, literally fighting himself. He's split off Vulpes Cantus and changed it to mimic his Youko form, and the two versions of Kurama are sparring.

Probably sparring. It looks pretty vicious. But Kurama has gotten better at controlling both at once, and the two are perfect mirrors. Every attack is blocked or parried or dodged, and he (both of him) warps freely around the cliff tops in flashes of green light.]
