No one had appointed Bai Lin as any kind of leader, but when you arrived at a new town, it was only logical that you'd meet with someone with some authority to see if either of you could help the other out somehow. That was just common sense. So when Lin heard the mayor wanted to talk to some of the outsiders in the library, she moseyed on down to the library to say hello.

Libraries weren't terribly familiar places to her, and this one felt very different from the one at Keystone Station, so as she wandered the library looking for the mayor she also kept peering through the shelves curiously.

Eventually she found someone who looked to be the right person and bowed to her politely. "Good evening Miss. I'm Bai Lin, and I came from outside the fissure."
