[Lily’s posting a message to the network! Which is odd, because she normally doesn’t like messing with the network much, but. It’s a video post, and one that shows Lily standing in the magic lab on the fourth floor.]

So, something weird is going on in Fissures, we know that. More than just the reality thing, I mean. And we’ve had things like endless fires, or creepy mines, or mansions with moving armor that tries to throw you out. So… I feel like there’s going to be a need for us to be stronger. Or more versatile. Or just… better.

If anyone else is feeling that way, Jail and I in the Magic Lab. [At the mention of her name, a familiar gloved arm reaches out from behind the camera, bending to do a fingergun at the viewers. It’s probably very uncomfortable to bend your arm that way..] I’m not suggesting sparring- Instead, it seems like most people here have magic, or some powers similar. If you can come and explain your powers, Jail can take a Look at them, and I’ll help by trying to expand your powers. Trying to think of new ways you can use things, or unexpected applications.

If you have trouble controlling your powers, too, I can help with that. I’ve got… a lot of practice. Just assume I’m here to help you grow and expand your powers in general.

I think we've managed to keep missing each other somehow... But with as many people as there are around here, that doesn't seem difficult. I'm Akira Kurusu.

[She pauses.]

One of them at least. There's two of us running around here... the other's a guy, though, so it's not like telling us apart is a pain or anything.

Hey Lily, hey Jail. Thought I'd stop by and see if Ophelia's got anything new for me. I'm willing to help out too, I had to get creative with my magic a lot back home.

[Goro is in female form still when she gets to the magic lab, and has at least limited her jewelry to things that don't dangle too much. That's about the extent of the limit, though, as she's still sparkling from multiple necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Don't judge her, okay?]

Hello. I've been studying magical theory very heavily, if you'd like someone familiar with creating new spells. I also have some other powers that I'd be eager to study a bit more closely than I could back home.

Not surprising, I guess... This place has a way of making you feel crowded. I still think I haven't even met half the people here somehow...

Creating new spells is something I'm interested in, but... Let's start with the other bit.

[She stands up from the kotatsu, looking her over. who this.]

Ah, sorry, though, are you one of the new arrivals? I don't think I've seen you before.

I've got my spears, any size I want them. I can also make them move by themselves, which is how I got the drills I used to clear out cave-ins in Telovia. I've got my chains, no end of uses for those.

[A brief pause.]

I've got my illusion magic back, which you know is a big deal for me. Then there's Rosso Fantasma, my ability to make illusions of myself solid.

[She takes a breath as she holds up the hand with her ring on it.]

And I only know Ophelia's fire powers.

Ah, no, I've actually been here from the beginning. I don't think we've spoken before, so it's not surprising you don't recognize me, especially since I'm usually male.

[She offers a hand to shake.]

My name is Goro Akechi.

[She just. Groans. And puts her head in her hands.]

If they're solid, then they aren't illusions anymore...

Is this- I mean, is this like a curse that needs to be broken, or- What should I refer to you as?

Nothing else about my powers would make clones make sense. They start off as illusions, but then I use my magic to sort of squeeze them and they can touch stuff. Mami-senpai called it "hard light."

Then they aren't illusions, they're solid...

Can you do that with anything else?

No, just illusions of me. That's why Mami-senpai decided it as my "special attack" against my will.

Then it seems like that's something to start on. What's the difference between your illusions of yourself and illusions of anything else you do?

No, it's the new spell I developed. I can shapeshift at will, as long as what I want to look like is possible for my current species.

[She tilts her head, tapping a finger to her chin.]

And calling me whatever suits my current form should be fine. I've never really cared if people saw me as masculine or feminine.

[She nods, but-]

I'd be interested in working out that spell and its applications later, but let's start with something simpler, I think... What else can you do?

Ah... I uh... have a bit of trouble controlling my ability... I mean... I normally wouldn't but the person who'd be here to help me isn't here and I wouldn't mind help with learning how to control it on my own.

[ He's totally nervous about bringing this up but knows it has to be done. After all he wants to control it and not have the tiger running rampant around the station at some point, causing trouble for everyone. ]

Aside from Rosso Fantasma? Nothing, so far as I can tell. They're mostly just used for distractions and misdirection. I call them illusions because it's convenient, but the actual name of it is "decoy magic."

If it's dangerous, don't worry. I'm strong, and Jail's amazingly smart. Between the two of us, we can figure it out.

So they're limited in scope... But they don't feel different, at all? You said you 'squeeze' your illusion copies to make them solid, but can you do that feeling to other things?

My oldest, and most versatile, ability is summoning aspects of my psyche to use various psychic abilities. Most people only have one, but I'm a little special. I can have up to six, and each one has a different set of skills.

Um... I got 'psychic abilities', but... Can you explain the rest in a bit more detail...?
