[ It was definitely eventful here to say the least so it wasn't like there was any shortage of things to be doing in this place, though admittedly he was starting to miss his friends as well as his mother. So to take his mind off of things on that note, he'd slipped on a t-shirt and a comfortable pair of shorts along with his usual red hightop shoes and headed out down to the beach.

It was a nice place to do his training.

Exhaling a deep breath, Izuku closed his eyes before nodding his head and began the motions he's practised too many times before. Leaping up into the air - higher than what people might expect - and unleashing a series of kicks that seem like they're propelling small waves of air with each one. Anyone who comes across him may find that upon closer inspection, his legs seem to have something almost like green electricity crackling around them as he moves.

Landing and executing some movements as if in the middle of a fight, shooting out his leg in a swift kick and then another before pulling up and balling up his fists to aim some careful punches. Mostly practicing kicks over anything else, his expression twisted in concentration.

The heat doesn't seem to really bother him other than starting to make his shirt stick to him. He tends to get caught up in what he's doing though, so eventually someone may need to get him to take a break. ]

[Minato hasn't been out to the beach too often since the incident with Aiden. It's not that he's afraid of it - more that the memory brings guilt crashing down. But it's still one of the better places to train, and with another mission soon he could use the brush-up.

Seems he's not the only one out here, though....it's not a set of techniques he's seen before. He watches for a little while. Waits for a pause, just in case it needs to turn into a longer break.]

[Nagisa has mostly kept his head down since his arrival here, but he has a solid idea of the lay of the land now and is getting more confident. He had mostly come out to the beach for the sea breeze and a few knife drills...

But soon there's another teen out here, really going at it. It's clearly beyond human ability. Nagisa finds his notebook and starts taking notes anyway - just because it's beyond human doesn't mean he can't learn something from it.

...he hopes this doesn't seem creepy.]

[ It takes a second but Izuku realizes he isn't alone, stopping what he was doing in order to look over to the other boy and stopping short. Instant recognition flashes across his face in a moment before he smiles somewhat bashfully and lets off a soft laugh. ]

T-Thank you. I uh... didn't think anyone else was here. Unless i've been out here longer than I thought.

[Of course, Minato can't match that recognition. From his perspective they've never met. Maybe seen one another around, at most.]

Only been here a few minutes. Guess we had the same idea.

[ Usually it was him who took notes on other people, so this would honestly be a first.

Izuku was honestly caught up in practicing that he didn't initially see the other there, bracing against the ground as the green electrical-seeming energy crackled around his legs and he shot up into the sky, executing a few roundhouse style kicks several feet in the air before his eyes caught the flash of blue nearby.

Someone was watching him?

Blinking a bit, he landed with ease and looked over to the other teen as he came up to him. Wearing a look of curiosity along with a smile clear as day. ]

Hello! I'm not bothering you, am I?

[ Once polite, always polite. It doesn't seem like he was bothered any by what the paler haired teen had been doing in the slightest, though. ]

I just saw you were here and uh... taking notes on me? [ A beat. ] It's okay if you were! I'm usually doing that with the others here, s-so having someone do that with me is not something i'm used to but it's not a bad thing.

[herolytical]

[ There's a moment that follows before his whole face lights up with a sort of barely contained eagerness. ]

Training? If you need someone to spar with, I could use the practice there as well!

[ At least the other boy seems a lot better off than he'd last seen him so the relief is there. ]

Oh! I'm Izuku, by the way. Izuku Midoriya! Names would be good to have so I don't come off as rude or something.

[He starts. He hadn't expected to be noticed. He often isn't. He laughs, a little sheepish.]

Mostly on your techniques. [A little on the boy himself. That green lightning is interesting.] It's kind of a hobby?

I've never met anyone who takes notes like I do before. [It's probably not the same, he should maybe avoid showing the pages detailing Korosensei's weaknesses and assassination scheme's...]

[ That could be blamed on that he has to be observant, due to his training to become a pro hero in the future. Missing one little thing or person could be what kills or harms someone in the heat of battle, after all.

Something almost excitable shows on his face in the next moment, eyes almost glittering with happiness. ]

Me too! When I was at home I used to take notes on all the pro heroes, their strengths and weaknesses along with notes on how they could best utilize their qui... abilities. [ Izuku stopped short, remembering how not all people knew what quirks were. ] Since there's no heroes here, i've started taking notes on the people here and what they can do, if they have powers and how they work since it really interests me to see what people from other worlds can do!

[ Realizing he almost started rambling, he then cuts himself off and laughs sheepishly. ]

I uh... picked up my techniques from a few different people, actually. I mean.. I made them more of my own but... I learned from my mentor, my best friend and even a couple of my classmates.

Oy, don't you think you've been doing that a bit too long? You need to rest a bit during training, otherwise you'll just hurt yourself.

[The voice comes from a girl in a swimsuit sitting on a large rock. Popsicle included, water gun not.]

[He'll need to up his own skills, then, even if he's decided not to become a pro assassin. It's a second blade he wants to keep sharp. Just in case. Always just in case.]

Pro.... Are superheroes real where you come from? [That's so cool. that would be an incredible world to live in, so much variety and ways to learn. He notes it down.] I don't have any special powers or anything like that, I'm....kind of below average, actually, but I have a little training. I was thinking I might be able to pick up some new skills by watching people here, and I've heard it's possible to develop powers like manipulating electricity...

Do you have superpowers too, then? [Look at these nerds.]

[ Just as the eventual thought of maybe stopping for a break crossed his mind, that voice spoke up and he nearly lost his footing as he came down for a landing in the somewhat unstable sand. Realizing just how much his shirt was sticking to him from the sweat he'd worked up.

Suddenly feeling a bit self conscious because whoah. There was a cute girl here and not expecting that someone else had come along since he'd been so concentrated on what he'd been doing. ]

R-Right. I just haven't gotten the chance to train in a bit so I kinda... uh... got a little caught up doing it, that's all.

[ He hesitates a bit but then moves to at least slip off his shirt, one hand rubbing at one of the scars on his arm. ]

So a break would be good, yeah. I really don't wanna end up causing any damage by overdoing it.

[He isn't half-dead and comatose, there's something to be said for that. Could maybe use a nap, though.]

Minato Arisato. Nice to meet you. Wouldn't mind sparring... Can't do anything too special, but I'm sturdier than I look.

[If the girl's at all flustered by Izuku taking off his shirt she doesn't show it. She pops the popsicle in her mouth and jumps off the rock, landing on the sand a few feet in front of Izuku.]

I get it, gotta stay in shape after all. I came here to train a bit myself.

The name's Sakura Kyoko.

[She produces another popsicle from... somewhere, and offers it to Izuku.]

[ Oh boy. There's the question he loves to hear, a bright smile soon in place as he nods without even so much as thinking twice about it. ]

Yup! Heroes AND Villains, actually. Eighty percent of the world's population all bear powers called quirks and not all people use them for good so heroes are there to combat them and keep the world safe!

[ Izuku honestly loves talking about heroes, okay?

Yet there was something about Nagisa that reminded him of how he used to be before getting One For All. Not that it was bad; if anything it was nostalgic in a way and it didn't dampen his mood in the slightest. ]

That's what I heard too. Makes me wonder if I could pick up anything else... if it's even possible or not... [ A blink. Then another and he nods easily. ] I do! Mine was... a bit late in showing up so i'm still learning how to use it, though.

I used to use it with my arms a lot more but I overdid it before and I have to watch how I use them now.

[herolytical]

Nice to meet you, too!

[ You know what sunshine looks like, Minato? It'd be this kid and his smiles right here. Energetic and totally happy at the idea of getting to spend time around other people. ]

I don't have to use my power while sparring so you don't have to worry about that at all. I'll try to hold back a bit just in case I get ahead of myself, though. I don't wanna hurt you on accident or anything...

[herolytical]

[ In that regard it's almost thankful as drawing attention to it would have just got him all flustered again and he didn't like making a fool of himself but it did happen more than he'd like to admit to. His gaze shifts when she jumped and landed a bit in front of him, taking note of that mentally before blinking at her just... suddenly producing another popsicle from out of seemingly thin air. ]

Y-Yeah. I'd like to be prepared if anything happens, though uh... if you need any help with getting some practicing in? I could spar with you i-if you wanted?

[ Smooth, Izuku. Smooth. Hopefully he didn't sound as awkward as he felt. ]

Midoriya Izuku. It's nice to meet you, Kyoko.

[ Then he makes to take the offered popsicle with an almost shy smile. He's really trying not to just be totally awkward or weird here. ]

S-Sure! Thank you. Though... where exactly did you get that from?

["Where did you get those?"

The question causes Kyoko to stumble a bit. She bites her popsicle in half as a slightly sad look goes over her face. She turns away from Izuku and speaks quietly.]

Does it really matter?

[Like the moon, Minato reflects that energy right back, but more quietly. He's been growing through spending time with others....growing in ways he doesn't want to lose.]

Don't really care. Probably be fine, anyway, and....could use better defenses. [After Incendia? Yeah, no, we are not interested in nearly getting Akira killed again...]

[Taking notes!!! Nagisa is thoroughly interested.]

That's so cool... We don't have anything like that, where I'm from, at least not...well, not anymore, I guess? It's a long story. It makes sense that there would be supervillains, too.

[And a painful one. He's spent this last month grieving. But something the other said catches his attention.]

Overdid...? You don't mean you....permanently damaged them or anything, do you?

[herolytical]

[ The second she bit her popsicle in half, immediately he got the feeling he must have said something wrong. Even more so when catching a brief glimpse of the somewhat sad look that showed in her expression right afterward. ]

Ah...! No... I mean... I was just curious! I didn't mean to bring up a bad memory or something for you!

[ He then bows his head a bit, expression definitively guilty now as he hadn't meant to upset her. ]

I-I'm sorry...

[herolytical]

As long as you're sure.

[ Something a bit unsure shows in his face then, brief and fleeting before he's back to smiling and as energetic as ever. Especially in how he shifts his stance a bit before straightening up slightly. ]

Whenever you're ready, just come at me and we can go from there, okay?

...You probably meant where I was keeping it, huh? In a freezer in my apartment, I used summoning magic to call it here.

[A brief chuckle as she finishes off her popsicle.]

As for where I got it in the first place, it was at a convenience store back home. Got some actual food while I was there too. They probably didn't even miss it.

[ There's something that can be said for how he feels when Nagisa says that, proud and rather excitable in a way he can't quite explain. He about goes on to start bringing something up about quirks when that one part catches his attention.

A long story? It has his mind reeling and so many questions popping up that he can't even start on silencing. ]

Not anymore? If you ever want to explain it to me sometime, I wouldn't mind listening. You really had me curious and I want to know more if you'd ever wanna tell me about it.

[ Izuku wouldn't press it or anything but the curiosity was genuine where that was regarded. At least he has something else to focus on afterward. ]

...well... almost. If I kept using my quirk the way I had been using it? I could lose the use of my arms altogether.

[ Then there's the part where he shows his right arm in its entirety. The shape of his right hand is somewhat warped too, if looked at closely as well. ]

See... if I use 100% of my quirk in certain parts of my body? There's a backlash and it causes my limbs to break and I kind of did it too many times trying to do what I could to help other people out.

[herolytical]

[ He blinks a bit before nodding a couple times in muted assent before finding his voice, shoulders relaxing a bit. ]

Yeah. T-That's what I meant. It came out of nowhere and just surprised me.

[ Wait a minute. W a i t. ]

Magic? Is summoning magic all you can do or are there other types of magic you can use? [ Then something occurs to Izuku based off what she'd said just then. ] You mean recently? I... assume you meant you just took it, too...?

There's a bunch of magic I can use. And yeah, I couldn't afford it so I just took it right out from under the shopkeep's nose. Got a problem with it?
