As long as they're trapped here, his boyfriends don't have to get on with their jobs as Composers. As long as they're trapped here, he doesn't have to think about the fact that he's decided to join them in Composer status. He doesn't have to think about voluntarily dying.

While he's here... he's a normal teenager, for as close to the definition he can get. Here, he's Akira Kurusu, the guy dating two other guys. Here, they're able to work on learning / remembering what true happiness feels like.. ]
