Inside the Metaverse, there's a place called Mementos. Put simply, that's a place where everyone's messed up views are collected in one place. [ pausing to take a sip of his drink... ] Individual warped views create monsters called Demons and Shadows that people like me fight.

By fighting them, we sometimes manage to heal people's hearts and help them onto a better path. So, guess one way of putting it... is we literally fight people's inner demons.
